Afflatus Brass? - Strezov "The Adventure Continues"

Hi all! I tried to make a more or less fair comparison. First one trumpet. first a loud passage then a quiet one 1 is Tom hokelborg's brass. 2 is afflatus brass. 3 is cinematic studio brass. no verb on the instruments, mics as they load, added seventh heaven large hall verb at -7db aprox...

Afflatus Brass? - Strezov "The Adventure Continues"

@StrezovSampling I missed the live cause of a deadline, so couldn't get my question there. I already purchased the library, but I am curious...how do you thing the negative delay can be managed in this library? i saw you have some patches that have longs and shorts. I'd love to use the KS...

Afflatus Brass? - Strezov "The Adventure Continues"

Oh man....Just finished building the new template using OT Tom hokelborgs Brass, which I was liking quite a bit lately, and substituted CSB for me, even though I dont do that much of the big epic it seems to be more intended to. My question, since I use afflatus strings a lot in my template...

Expression maps on cubase not working most of the time

Hi again! I use a combination of pre-made exp maps and some custom, I think I see most of them use direction, and have latch activated. Thanks very much for your input!

Expression maps on cubase not working most of the time

Hi all! I've been searching in the forum but couldn't find anything related. It's something I've been living with, but it's pretty annoying. I have many expression maps on my cubase template for many libraries (BBC, CSB, CSS, etc...), so not all kontakt related, and the expression maps many...

BBCSO Exp maps not triggering sometimes??

Thanks very much! but in a big template you can’t go track by track reseting the articulations every time you playback... It’s not a small issue for me, I usually work on tight deadlines, and printing demos with wrong articulations, cause I dont even check the prints usually since it’s all...

BBCSO Exp maps not triggering sometimes??

Hi all! Tried searching for this, but couldn't find anybody with this issue through the forum. I'm on cubase 10.5 , latest BBCSO plugin. I'm liking some of the instruments in the plugin, but I find it unusable just because when using the expression maps that come from their own template...

Hi all! Jumped off the thread some months ago, got to work on some tvshows and used my older template without BBCSO. These weeks I got some time to redo the template, and after setting everything out...I get so many clicks and pops is pretty unusable. Have the latest version of the plugin...

Any Cubase / VEP / Win10 / VST Gurus in the house?

Hi all!! I am, as many of you, a film composer. Have a studio 32 core theoretically monster pc , and a nice laptop, and getting lots of click and pop problems on both machines. I know all the basics, ran latencymon and stuff, and can't still find the issues that might be going on. Not sure if...

Quick solution for automating Reverb sends or group volumes

Hi all!! I'm sure many of you will know about a quick way around this. I'm a film composer, been using midi CCS, libraries, etc... forever, on cubase. But when I need to automate a lane for reverb send, or a group volume, for example, I always do it with the mouse, since I don't really do it...

hi! just a quick one...I'm getting lots of clicks while playing JXL. I'm on a 7960x 32core machine with 128gb RAM, Antelope interface, windows10, Cubase 9.5. Kontakt runs obviously smooth, but getting lots of clicks on the sine player (once everything is loaded, obviously). Seems fine when I go...

    Junkie XL Brass?

it's the best one yes...but still a lot of blocky midi fanfare thing, no nice transitions, very detached and not a great legato in my opinion. I mean...it sounds nice but doesn't leave much the realm of midi mockup, for me. I do a lot of medium budget movies (supersmall for LA standards, of...

Spitfire Audio “This is London Calling” - BBC Symphony Orchestra

This is kind something that I saw everybody would do while working at remote control. You get used to writing cc11 with one finger and cc1 with the other. That's cause you usually want more dynamic change that what cc1 will provide, so combining both you can reach the soft and louder parts...

Wow, it's sounding really beautiful! Later Paul plays flutes a3...

I did around 20 movies and tvshows this year, and approx. Half of them with real orchestra. It’s a different thing, I’m not questioning the musicianship and what real guys can bring to a production, but, in modern scoring, between the electronic stuff, the hans-like music that doesn’t really...

How do you deal with legato/live orchestra ease of use

Thanks very much George. yes, I know, and use it all the time!. But, as I stated, the problem is that legato libraries have delay in the legato transition, but usually not in the first note of the melody, so the setting is less useful. We'd need to program something like a macro that detects...
