Good interface with various I/Os incl. good old 5-pin MIDI and SPDIF inputs?

Hi, I'm in the market for a good quality interface, but after a little research, it seems to me that most of todays options available are lacking one or the other of the mentioned above. I do a lot of VSTs, but do need at least a pair of recording preamps, too. Could anyone point me into the...

    Piano Players

About a year ago, I went to an equipment shop just to kill some time, without any intention or need to buy anything whatsoever. I played the Roland RD2000 and HAD TO buy it straight away just for its superb action. Quite an expensive time killer that was, but I've never looked back. Since then...

    Omnisphere 2. A must buy?

May I borrow this thread to ask whether the upgrade from Omnisphere 1 to 2 is a must, too, or not? I've owned and used Omnisphere 1 for years and I'm still not tired of it.

24 HOURS LEFT! Ólafur Arnalds Chamber Evolutions Promo Price Ending Tomorrow

Naah... I was hoping the Whitacre choir would be the next release we see from Spitfire. Too bad I have to spend my money on just another OA-magical thing...

Joshua Bell Violin or Albion 2 Loegria ?

Frankly, you just can't go wrong with Loegria at that pricepoint. You can still get Joshua Bell at the same price any time. I happen to have the complete Spitfire Symphonic Orchestra aswell as their Chamber Strings and 3 out of the 5 Albions, but boy, I keep returning to Loegrias Flautando and...

    Source for full orchestra scores?

Hi all, I only recently found out how much I enjoy reading scores along while listening to music and movie soundtracks. While I do have access to some classical stuff, I was not able to find full scores for film music, like for example Braveheart by James Horner. Does anybody know about sources...

    My first trailer (with video)

Congratulations, very well done! My only slight "complaint" would be that there is no single reference to "Asian" scales or music, something I personally would expect given the setting of the movie.

    Studio One X

Whiskey, could you please also give a statement on the current status of Studio One X? I`m very interested in it, but as I'm really not into hacking and copyright infringements I depend on proper information.

Uh, I got them all right. But I have to admit, it feels more like a lucky shot and I wasn't sure on all of them.

Spitfire Audio: choir library sneaky peek

Any news on the choir? I'm definitly in the marked for a choir capable of lower dynamics and consider pulling the trigger on Insolidus during the sale. But if the Spitfire choir sounds ANYTHING close to the Whitacre teaser from a year ago, I'll happily wait for it... if it is still in the pipeline?

Does anyone else need to hum?

Just to let you know... there's another lost soul with the cell phone memory being used up for hummed melodies/lines. What is fun though is that I can recall any situation that I hummed in, be it while travelling or just on the way back home from work, even after months and years. On the...

Am I the only one using Studio One?

I've been a Cubase user for a couple of years until I by plain coincidence came across the first edition of Studio One when I bought a Presonus Audiointerface. I switched to being a Studio One User that very day, the overall layout, its sober-mindedness and the drag&drop-functionality just...
