Jesus christ I should clean my eyes better in the morning. I edited will "solid color" background. I guess I'm going to use some CSS browser app to do that.

Fresh new look. Very nice! If there is a dark version alternative someday, it would be nice (or at least a darker background image option, like a solid color dark one)

Open Stage Control (Tutorial) - An alternative to Lemur and TouchOSC

I saw your post on the community board. On windows, cleaning the registry and reinstalling python does fix the problem. But yes, on mac it's not that easy it seems. Glad you fixed your issue @Jorge Vargas !

Open Stage Control (Tutorial) - An alternative to Lemur and TouchOSC

@Jorge Vargas It seems you've got exactly the same error as someone else on Windows. Usually this issue occurs if you have footprint of a previous version of Python (32 or 64 bit) I suggest you to clean all pythons presence and reinstall the good one properly.

    Focusrite 3rd gen

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone has already tried the new gen of Focusrite Audio Interface? Especially on the latency, stability and I/O. https://focusrite.com/scarlett I'm thinking to upgrade to the 18i20. My 2nd Gen 2i2 is struggling a bit and I need more outputs. I aimed Apollo x6...

    A 200 tracks project with a 1m:45s save time ....

My save time is something like 2 seconds on Cubase for a project. More like 30 seconds on VE-Pro for my template. 240mb the file size.. it's pretty legit! You are hosting a lot of Kontakt or wathever instances on your project. All the data from each instances (such as parameters etc) has to be...

Open Stage Control (Tutorial) - An alternative to Lemur and TouchOSC

@Shad0wLandsUK Usually with loopmidi you just have to create the midi port that will be used by both OSC and Cubase. Because it's on the same computer, there is no need to create a "session". It's already there by default I would say. For dual computer settings (you have to create a session on...

Open Stage Control (Tutorial) - An alternative to Lemur and TouchOSC

OSC (Software) handle scripts. So yes, you can write a script that send a sequence of MIDI or OSC messages. 3rd party software is needed when you want to map specific action on midi messages. It will be useful to trigger actions on your computer that is not part of OSC/MIDI environment (such as...

    [Thread] AMD/Intel CPU 2019

Yes and no. In my case, windows patches and microcode for CPU broke my overclocking. I can't fix it now. I'm having a 3.6 Ghz that struggle so much running my VE-Pro template instead of a solid 4.2Ghz. And I clearly see the difference. It's quite huge! So yeah, no more Intel and their vulnerable...

    Talharpa, where to buy?

Hi, I've always been in love of the sound of the Talharpa and I want to purchase one. Sadly I don't have any knowledge regarding this very specific instrument to help me find the good one. SSS (Symphonic Strings) is very nice, it's my main strings library (I do use Jaeger's legato violin in addition and Studio Strings Pro for close mics details). It seems CSS is also a must have in terms of legato and versatility. HZ Percussion Pro is very nice but I'm not using that much the...

I'm working with a buffer of 512 (and x4 on VE-Pro... so 2048 so far). Sometimes I have to increase to 1024 because of the very CPU demanding synth. My poor 6800K is dying because of the huge template (75GB) workload. Even if the latencies is not better than Intel ones, I assume a 16c or 24c...

I guess this year is for AMD until Intel get their next gen desktop ready. Until then, AMD will improve their Zen process with the 7nm+ for very competitive prices. In few months, I will have the choice to get a very nice new CPU to replace my old 6800K.. without selling my house for it.

Apple introduces first 8-core MacBook Pro

By low specs I was referring to the high price for such a spec. Performance is not that far from a $2000 laptop from another brand. I do agree about the issues. It's mostly dramatized. I was pointing out the fact Apple is using unsecured components. It should be considered in the final price...

Apple introduces first 8-core MacBook Pro

I'm not here to spit on Apple or its users; I just have a question: what's the point of a $6500 laptop with such low specs? (And I'm not mentioning the fact that Apple tells users to turn off multi-threading to reduce security issues with their chip)

Release tails not triggered from Cubase's midi
