    Big Spitfire Purchase Feedback

The sound is warm and smooth. but not in eDNA engine. I feel the same with UVI sound, also happens with u-he, reFX Nexus. You will have to use headphones to get that.

Spitfire Audio - Kepler Orchestra - Available NOW

A flying orchestra. Each musician sits on a drone that flies around the mics, in an elaborated choreography. That's why spitfire hired python programmers.

It looks like everything was ednaefied, it's sad, because before all looked like a jewel case and now it's a plastic toaster.

    SFX Suite Libraries

Other options are Soundmorph, cinetools, Zero-g. But their libraries are not as good. Many useless variations, and difficult to find your solution. If any.

    SFX Suite Libraries

Yes, but their sound quality are top notch. Well organized, cover almost all situations. Very well designed. They make other companies look like amateurs.

    New Spitfire Evolutions plugins

For all around maybe Fragile, or the symphonic evolutions.
  16. C

    New Spitfire Evolutions plugins

The first is about the material Olafur made with Broadchurch OST, it's more specific, dramatic, tense, and raw. It's crispy.
  17. C

    New Spitfire Evolutions plugins

The first olafur evo, is the best IMHO. Because sound is very raw and textural. However evo 2 (Fragile) is also very beautiful. It depends on the kind of sound you want. Fragile is more smooth and velvet, and beauty. Olafur evo is more raw, tense, and penetrating.

The end of Albion 2 Loegria?

And for Albion TWO, please dont turn synth patches into edna patches and please Drama Kit style layer patches. FX, Gate and pulse effects are nice, but the interface kills all the magic.

The end of Albion 2 Loegria?

I believe intro upgrade price+sale price = intro price. Same investment but you keep the old library.
  20. C

The end of Albion 2 Loegria?

Synths in Albion II are one of the reasons why I bought this library. Some presets sound like That Vangelis pads in the album Soil Festivities, I love that sound. I think it's a lovely delicate library, with amazing string sound.
  21. C

The end of Albion 2 Loegria?

Really? Nice, those are very good. However I'm not very fond of the edna engine. The interface is visually noisy. And sometimes sounds over processed

Bug in Olafur Arnalds Chamber Evolutions

Strange place where musicians care more for distortions on words than distortions on samples.
  24. C

    New Spitfire Evolutions plugins

My question is, does the reverb sound the same? The delay? The chorus? And so on. I think the main issue here is SF wanting to have a better control over the copy protection scheme. Because the Kontakt way is very weak, original evos are not even copy protected, these new ones are. I...

    Spitfire EVOs vs. NOVO

Spitfire Audio London Contemporary Orchestra Textures – Available now

In close mics LCOT has about 6-8 patches that are the most beautiful pads or drones you can find, they are really beautiful, the rest are mostly nice variations. They are not easy designed with other sources, because they morph, you must be an excelente sound designer. In fact, with the...

Spitfire Audio London Contemporary Orchestra Textures – Available now

It's very easy to program, it has 6 layers, mute all but one, then build from there. has a very effective randomize button, for unexpected results. The abyss bass is hellish. What hooked me was the bass demo. I'm learning a lot about sound design studying the engine concept. It's brilliant...

Spitfire Audio London Contemporary Orchestra Textures – Available now

This flat thing about the patches, and the lack of variety, makes me wonder if the library was or not made in a rush, probably because the hangar time and LCO time are very expensive.

Spitfire Audio London Contemporary Orchestra Textures – Available now

That's exactly my feeling, I only listen 6 presets on the library, then a lots of variations. This is a library for 100€ not for 300€. Spitfire is going the gourmet deluxe way. For me, their best library is BDT, cheap, beautiful, enough.

Spitfire Audio London Contemporary Orchestra Textures – Available now

So, those who already used LCOT how do you classify the variety of the sounds? Im afraid its just half a dozen with "Now with eyes closed", "Now with eyes open" variations. How do you classify the sound pool?

Spitfire Audio London Contemporary Orchestra Textures – Available now

LCOT sounds very organic and Spitfire sound is very warm. This library is very tempting. This places an amazing layer on the audio experience. However it's missing some solo instruments and the Ostinato. IMO. Textures need rhythm . The Korg Wavestation designers knew that, and made the most...
