    Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass (MSB)

Thanks for sharing, this is bad on a whole new level... did you accidentally flip some switch that made the trumpets sound like a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle horn? I would love to read the manual, is there one included?

    Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass (MSB)

Sorry, I don't share your excitement, the official demos didn't make a good impression on me. I talk about this particular track here: https://vi-control.net/community/threads/audiobro-modern-scoring-brass-msb.76944/page-32#post-4378321 I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for more than two...

    Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass (MSB)

Are we really doing this again? Begging for walkthroughs and demos? I don't understand how a developer can overlook something as obvious as that. It's like they expect users to do all the work for them. Don't be cheap, AudioBro! Pay reviewers, send some NFRs, do whatever it takes but don't leave...

On the Fence About Spitfire Studio Woodwinds

Spitfire Studio Woodwinds for $150 is a steal! A few years ago that would have cost no less than $600 and I'm being generous here.

    Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass (MSB)

Great track by a very talented composer, what's not to like about his writing? Sadly, as a demo, it falls short IMO. My first impression still stands: too polished, thin and uncomfortably metallic. At 00:39 you can clearly hear all these issues, it almost sounds like a synth patch. Listen to...

    Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass (MSB)

That's subjective to the skills and knowledge of the user. When Cinematic Studio Brass was released there were countless variations of the same Williams' motifs posted by a multitude of bedroom composers and most of them were very bad (no offense, just being real here). If I were to judge the...

    Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass (MSB)

Fair enough, I didn't take into consideration things like microphone mixes and the brilliant script behind all Audiobro libraries. I should know better, I use LASS all the time. I'm one of AudioBro's most vocal supporters and when MSB was announced I couldn't contain my excitement. The demos...

    Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass (MSB)

I have to say that I'm nowhere near excited I thought I would be after all the wait. But that's on me for not controlling my expectations. I watched the walkthough a couple of times and took a good critical listen to all instruments shown (great tuba, by the way). Overall, MSB has that thin...

Cubase 10, what a great workflow

Could you please elaborate? How many MIDI ports and audio outputs you have set per instance? How long did it take to load the VST3 plugin on 9.5? I'm having this exact issue where it takes at least 13 seconds to load 48 ports and 300 audio outputs per instance. And I have 13 instances spread...

Any large template users here? Is Cubase 10 more responsive when you are working with thousands of midi tracks and Vienna Ensemble Pro?

PC specs for lowest possible latency?

What a coincidence, AMD just teased the Zen 2 at CES2019! They didn't show much but there was a very promising comparison between an early sample 3rd gen Ryzen and an i9-9900K. It's a single die-cpu and that's a great move because this is going to reduce the latency from the intercore...

PC specs for lowest possible latency?

Are you hosting any instruments on the i9 machine? If so, how many Kontakt instruments plus insert effects you can load and play before getting drop outs? How much of an improvement you get from overclocking? I was hopeful for the Zen2 but I don't know what to think now... I had the 1950X and...

    Tina Guo Vol2 - Opinions

Last time I heard, it was abandoned by Blake? Did he change his mind? If so greatet new of the year already! Such a capable instrument yet so dated compared to Chris Hein or Bohemian. I never touched the Blackus Cello after I bought CHS and BC. If Embertone rework their script to bring the...

Analysing Strawberry Fields Forever using “Verta style”

You are overthinking what it means to be in a band like the Beatles. They don't care about any of that. Have some beers, pick an instrument and go jam with your friends, then maybe you will get it ;)

What did you buy from Spitfire's Wishlist?

You know you want EWC, go for it! :D Studio Strings Pro also provides ensemble, half and divisi samples. Totally worth it.

What did you buy from Spitfire's Wishlist?

They are complementary libraries to be honest but if I had to pick just one, it would be EWC all the way. One thing to keep in mind, if you do this for a living, is that Requiem has been around for quite a while and can be heard everywhere, while EWC is pretty fresh.

I think it was Strezov who said that sampling children is the worst thing one can do to oneself lol Hence my surprise when I saw Genesis' intro price. EDIT. found it! "Recording Arva was the hardest thing we did in our company history - I think that sampling children is probably the worst thing...

    Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass (MSB)

This. I truly believe that developers who won't adapt to the new realities of the market will have a hard time keeping up with the likes of Spitfire, EastWest and Cinematic Studio Series. It's not cheap to produce a sample library as detailed as MSB and I'm certain AudioBro is interested in...

    Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass (MSB)

They didn't mention Berlin Brass specifically but they were very particular with the wording "we believe you will be pleasantly surprised by comparison to the other offerings on the market" To me that screams it will be cheaper than everything else, otherwise why would we be "pleasantly...

I can accept AudioBro disrupting my BF and Holidays plans with this "announcement" I can accept the lack of price and release date I can even accept the lack of demos... But to block an entire country because of a few bad apples? I sincerely hope that is a genuine mistake on their side...

    Thank you Spitfire Audio...

Let's not forget all the stuff they gave away in their tombola draw. I can't think of any other developer that does something remotely close to that in magnitude. So yea thank you SFA!

I like that it can sound both modern and classic, depending on which combination of mics and mixes you choose. Great all around library and at 40% off a fantastic deal.

What's on your Spitfire Christmas Wish List?

Mmmmm since you already own Albion IV and V you can pull a lot of that aleatoric sound from those two libraries. If you are in a hurry to write choral music and does not have any other choir library, the Withacre sounds like a great deal now. If not, I would definitely get BHCT and new Studio...

    Steinberg updates Cubase to v10.0.10

Yes I am. Why, does it add lag? My template consists of thousands of midi tracks and 11 VEPRO instances (48 midi ports each). May I also ask how long does it take to load your template file?
