Excellent. Shall watch it this weekend.

"Chamber Strings - Performance legato", what happened to the patch?

Yes. In a nutshell... Just having the option of playing a Legato and then short notes. Maybe a trill etc. With SCS and SSS, I find the Perf Legs to be incredibly useful for writing because the scripting allows to go from a leg to a Spiccato. I would love that in SSW. Of course, I'm a spoilt...

    Apollo Twin Input Monitoring Latency?

And, Andrew, Bassious is absolutely right. You aren't doing anything wrong at all! It's just a different workflow. When you're used to it, there's no going back ;)

How do the Riccoti Mallets compare to Joby Burgess Perc?

After using Ricotti Mallets in a piece I'm writing, Man, these mallets sound so amazing! Trying hard not to over use them. They seriously cut through the SSO and the definition is fantastic! So glad I bought this! It's amazing how much joy a sample library can bring... Or I just seriously need...

Orchestral Tools - Junkie XL Brass - Pre-Order Started!

Yet, Berlin strings are orchestral.Found in so many AAA films so I’m still not sure what the difference is really.Guess I’ll have to get both 😂

Orchestral Tools - Junkie XL Brass - Pre-Order Started!

It sounds amazing. I'm curious, where does Berlin Brass fit in with JXL Brass? I was going to buy that quite soon but I may get this now. What are the reasons someone would own both? I guess more arts in BB but this has 5 dynamic layers. Would it be possible to hear a demo with JXL Brass and...

"Chamber Strings - Performance legato", what happened to the patch?

I would like to see performance Legs added to Symphonic Winds as well but that’s not fixing anything, that’s adding features.

    Junkie XL Brass?

    Holy shit. Loving this!

"Chamber Strings - Performance legato", what happened to the patch?

Huge difference. Man, I wish this could get done. How long does it take to RX a library as big as SCS? I don't know off the top of my head how many samples are in it and nor do I know how many need RXing but I'm guessing it's a huge undertaking. SCS is one of the best String libraries out there...

Exponential Audio have some of the best software Reverbs you can buy!

Orchestral Tools - Junkie XL Brass - Pre-Order Started!

Is Sine stable? Probably a question for OT but as you have user experience with it your opinion is very valuable. I only ask because a new player can take a while to become what it should. The Spitfire Player has already been improved since release so I'm curious about Sine.

    Apollo Twin Input Monitoring Latency?

You should only be monitoring through the Twin. Not inside the DAW. It is the benefit of the Twin and using external DSP. You can literally have near zero latency when recording audio as it's not going through the computer.

Any chance of posting these examples so we can hear them?

Nice. Thanks for posting this! :)

    Hans Zimmer Strings update!!

Absolutely. I’m not sure why there would ever be a doubt about this. You can play an instrument with so many different approaches (not talking about Virtual Instruments) and different dynamics. Near limitless. Of course having more dynamic layers is going to improve realism. it’s exciting and I...

    Hans Zimmer Strings update!!

I know man. I’m so excited. I’ve left it downloading and can’t wait to try it out tomorrow. I believe I read a while back that HZ is up to 56 layers for Brass and with 33 mic positions. I guess this will “have to do” (for now).

    Cubase/Metagrid question

Yes. Im assigning an LE command to the XML Macro file that is the Cubase Generic Remote 3 (now GR 4) as it’s just one simple command and doesn’t need to be a Cubase Macro (Cubase Macros are in the Key commands section at bottom). Regardless of whether you are creating an LE command, a PLE...

    Cinematic Studio Brass

    Love it!
  22. jononotbono

What are your favorite cinematic brass and woodwind libraries?

Yeah they are great. Wish this library had performance legatos like SCS and SSS so hopefully it will eventually have an update but the legatos sound good. If, you love the sound of AIR Lyndhurst of course! :)

    Cinematic Studio Brass

Damn you. That sounds great. I was about to go on the site again and buy it but luckily I can’t put my discount code in until the BF sale is over so this gives me two days to get a grip and not spend anymore money. Two days to regain control of myself.

    Cinematic Studio Brass

Well, I’m looking forward to the walkthroughs and demos of JXL Brass and if a dev is doing a pre order on something that has never been released before and in a new player, I would expect to see them plenty ahead of time and before the preorder time runs out. It’s a bit frustrating because I’m...

Curious to know when we are going to see a walkthrough and hear demos? Sorry if this being impatient. Are they going to arrive before the Preorder is over?

    Cinematic Studio Brass

Does it blend well with the Spitfire Symphonic Orchestra libraries? I guess what I’m asking (as all libraries can blend with the right production tricks) is, does it blend well with least amounts of faffing about?
  32. jononotbono

    Cinematic Studio Brass

I've been relooking at Cinematic Studio Brass. I have CS2, CSS and CSSS. The demos are creating a very dangerous situation for me and I'm trying desperately not to slip over and accidentally fall onto the buy button. Are users loving this Brass library? I'm getting that "I need this in my life"...

    Cinematic Strings - Incredible Company!

Totally agree. And regarding favorite String libraries, SCS is a joint position with SSS. Love them both.

    New Spitfire Strings incoming.

I haven’t said they will. Only that people would be pissed if they do.
  37. jononotbono

    New Spitfire Strings incoming.

I’ve had a quick play with Aperture. Like it. It’s a rather nice concept going from a small to a large number of players. I didn’t buy anything to specifically get Aperture so for me it’s like having a bonus library. And of course, it sounds excellent. It’s made up from the String libraries from...

How do the Riccoti Mallets compare to Joby Burgess Perc?

Just had a play with it. Sounds excellent. Especially the Xylophone! Definitely a welcome addition to the template!

How do the Riccoti Mallets compare to Joby Burgess Perc?

It’s also very useful having all the mic positions on cc faders.
  41. jononotbono

How do the Riccoti Mallets compare to Joby Burgess Perc?

Well, I almost have the whole Symphonic Orchestra, all the HZ libraries, LCO, Albions, erm, yeah, the list is getting pretty silly. I usually have a bank of faders controlling different CCs setup for SA libraries.
  42. jononotbono

How do the Riccoti Mallets compare to Joby Burgess Perc?

Downloading it right now and very excited about it. Every person who has ever said anything about it has nothing but praise for it and I love the demos. I’ve been trying to write a piece only using Orchestral instruments for a while so I can’t wait to get these in my template!

How do the Riccoti Mallets compare to Joby Burgess Perc?

I didn’t buy anything last year but there are a few things I’ve wanted for a while so I guess it’s just lucky timing really.
  44. jononotbono

How do the Riccoti Mallets compare to Joby Burgess Perc?

Ok I bought Ricotti Mallets. I feel like I need them in my life and both your comments are overwhelmingly positive. I’ve also just qualified for Aperture Strings so will have to try those out as well.

How do the Riccoti Mallets compare to Joby Burgess Perc?

I’m just wondering how the Spitfire Riccoti Mallets compares to the instruments in the Joby Burgess Spitfire Orchestral Perc library? Thinking about buying them. Hmmm...

Tom here to talk about JXL Brass

Ah this is great you’ve joined here. I’m curious, will JXLB work well with the OT Berlin Orchestra (as it has been recorded in the same space) and specifically with Berlin Brass. What does JXLB do that Berlin Brass does not? Very excited about this release!
