Some questions about SONUSCORE-THE ORCHESTRA

Hello. I was thinking about purchasing sonuscore the orchestra, and later upgrade to complete.
I have a pre-purchase question for those who have this library.

It said you can install on 2 computers. In the future if one gets a new pc and such how do you move the license to the new pcs? are there deactivation system in order? SInce you only get 2 activations and after activated on 2 pcs can you deactivate the license and activate it on new pcs? or do you need to purchase a new license for new pcs?
I cant find this info on Sonuscore website so I am asking here.

Thank you.

I'm not 100% certain if this would be their response, but from my experience with Sonuscore and Best Service, they seem very understanding and if you explain the situation to them via email, I'm pretty confident they would be able to help you out and give you another activation, etc as needed. For example, with Best Service and their Engine 2 libraries (Eduardo Tarilonte, etc), when you update Windows you often have to reactive the libraries. I ran out of activations, but emailed them and they added more activations to my account. For The Orchestra I think that probably as long as you don't have more than two computers activated at one time you should be good. Btw, I have the orchestra and really like it. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Cheers

I am going through my libraries and I just released that both the Native Instruments Symphony Series Solo Library and Sonuscore's The Orchestra don't have an English horn. The former has saxes, but no English horn. The latter has contrabassoon but no English horn.

What are these guys thinking?

Jay, they were thinking about a lot of things but obviously an EH would be great to have. The original Vienna stuff did not have EH, you got the basic 4. The Orchestra is a brilliant piece of software, hopefully they can add an English Horn to it.

But someone actually decided that contrabassoon was more important than english horn. Boggles my mind.

Aarrgghh !! ……...……………...
Luv The Orchestra and seems best use of next $ ~~ 125. is The Orchestra Complete Upgrade.

Surely no User out there disagrees strongly ?? ………..

I gave it a good review for AskAudio when it came out, but noted the omission.
Again, it's not the only culprit, but I would like to say to the developers of all of them, "What were you thinking?"

I can't seem to convince Paolo to give us a Fluffy Audio English horn to go with the others.

Does anyone know how to install The Orchestra Complete v1.01 and also Strings of Winter?

I have downloaded all the files, extracted them in to a new folder, but I cannot get Kontakt Native Access to change to the new folder. I've tried renaming the folder to v1.0 but access permissions prevent it from being changed.

Any ideas?

Ok - I've just rebooted and renamed the folder and now Native Access is using the v1.01 files. However, I can't see how to bring up the Strings in Winter instrument in Kontakt (as shown in the various SonusCore videos).

Presumably I should have been sent a 2nd Serial Number to activate the Strings of Winter instrument?

You would definitely need a second serial number for The Strings of Winter.

I'm curious why you purchased the Strings of Winter too, when all of its instruments are in The Complete Orchestra. Do you prefer the interface?

So, what you're saying is that with The Orchestra Complete, it:
1) Does include the Strings of Winter ?, and,
2) Does not have a separate interface for Strings of Winter ?

Talk about confusing!!

Correct! The good thing is, you can create mixed ensemble patches in one instance.

On a positive note, you could export the midi and add your own English Horn.

I always thought the EH was a normal part of a full orchestra. So it doesn't make sense not to have it. But I am kind of new to this stuff, it is a woodwind - right? So Sonokinetic doesn't have it either? It's too bad because I like the sound of it.

VSL SE Vol 1 and 4 both English horns are excellent, Hollywood Woodwinds as well. I don't handle the Orchestra Woodwinds, so that is only an issue if you don't have any other librarys.
The english horn is part of oboe family.

On the verge of purchasing this library. I'm a hobbyist composer. I'm sold on the many choir articulations of The Orchestra. However, is there really no Piano in this package ??
