CinePerc - A comprehensive Walkthrough - Part 1/7: Orchestral Percussion

With the library on a relatively deep sale right now and the arising percussion competitors from Spitfire Audio's Abbey Road Orchestra (there's a comparison video about CinePerc and ARO Low Perc on my channel btw) I thought it might be a good idea to make a comprehensive walkthrough, showing every instrument in the library without talking. As CinePerc is quite the beast (roughly 100 GB) I will split this walkthrough into several parts so that you can pick the parts that interest you most and don't have to sit through a full hour of percussive fumbling and stumbling :)

...apologies for the low resolution of the thumbnail btw - I was unable to find a version of this picture with a higher resolution.

All sounds in this video are straight out of the box, I just turned off the internal reverb and used a bit of my own reverb (Cinematic Rooms Professional).

My apologies for asking this here, but how did you turn off the internal reverb? I can't manage to do that myself.

No need to apologize!
Most Cinesamples libraries have a switch for that on the right side of the mixing console interface. CinePerc however is different - you have to go to the settings tab and then you'll see a button to turn off the reverb on the upper left. I hope this helps - let me know if you have any further questions! :)

So, i bought it without realising the massive amounts of Free space i'd need for the install. Does Anybody know a way to split the download into smaller bits?

If you're downloading the library via Native Access I don't believe there is a way to split it.
(not sure about other installers)

I actually managed to make space but.. It aparently needs to be on the main disc too..
Edit: I have now cleaned up the space on both, but for somer reason the required amount increased. This is getting real fucking tiresome. I have 200GB free on both, just let me install the library for gods sake.

You can move it afterwards and relocate it within Kontakt or Native Access.
For future installations, you can set the destination folder in Native Access preferences.
I set the download destination in Native Access to a temporary folder on a portable SSD and then installed it back to my computer from there.
D
It's odd, as no matter where my destination is set to be, it still needs almost 200 gb on my bootdrive to install. I've tried googling around, giving Native Access full access to discs, changing all destinations to my external drive, but it still comes with an error saying that i need x amount of space on my bootdrive.

That's the exact problem I have as well. I changed the destination finally to a hard drive with 1,1 Terrabyte free space, and it still insisted I needed more space.
I'm writing to NI and Cinesamples support for over a week now to resolve this.
Now I'm going to download Continuata and they gave me an old code to download through Continuata.

THANK YOU!
Do you know how to turn off reverb for Spitfire Symphonic Strings/WW/Brass?

So, i have to wait for another download link? That sucks.. Who answered your support ticket and gave you the serial, NI or Cinesamples?

I'm texting with Cinesamples support. First they gave the standard answer with "your drive doesn't have the free space your PC says it does", then I moved, like you, 250 GB worth of libraries to free up 500 GB, which didn't work. Then they said to download the old Continuata, Download through there, and locate CP through Native Access. They gave me a serial number that would work with Continuata because it doesn't accept the newer Native Access form of serial numbers.
Native Access itself was tremendously un-helpful. They sent me a Google Drive Download link to the CinePerc .iso file, but it denied me access. Then NI support gave me access, and the download kept failing on me after 6-7 GB. Then they said to try another browser.
I'm *this* close to get a refund.
The only reason I don't is that I got the Black Friday deal.

I always have trouble with Cinesamples. Had I paid the original 800 Euro for CinePerc, I'd be livid.

I had the same problem, but by downloading with Continuata, it finally worked. I just selected "Download Only", downloaded every parts on my SSD, then unpacked all. It gave me several folders then I reorganized it like this:

Finally, I went to Native Access V1, and relocated the library and now it works fine!
I hope it will do the same for you!

I downloaded it to the same drive Native Access refused, then located it through NI version 2, and now it works.

Hit up CineSamples support. I had this exact problem a couple of years ago (which NI support confirmed is how Native Access operates and wouldn't help with at all) and CineSamples just gave me a Continuata Connect link instead, which downloads directly to external drive without buffering through internal (or check available space on the internal)

Actually did message them yesterday and recieved a download link earlier today. CineSamples support is bae, NI support is nae.
