... But first a little love letter from 8Dio ...

8Dio just turned 9 years old!

It doesn’t FEEL quite right to celebrate ...
and yet ... it doesn’t feel right to not recognize this milestone either?

When 8Dio went live in 2011 - we held our breath knowing we had taken the biggest risk of our lives. The world was in recession and we were also facing PERSONAL challenges.

We emptied the last of our bank accounts and recorded with what we had. A PC. A Zoom Recorder. An old guitar. There were no glamorous studios. But just the desire to create something new and BEAUTIFUL.

Today. We are sheltered in place in California. We are profoundly humbled by the many aspects of this journey and what this year is teaching us. We feel awake again. Forging our dreams into reality. And once again taking the biggest risk of our lives by fulfilling a life-long dream of Troels to create his own TECHNOLOGY from ground up. 8 years later. We call it SOUNDPAINT.

But most importantly we have done this because of YOU and your support. This month we take our hats off to all the music makers. All the dreamers. Everyone who desires to break the norm and better our world. We LOVE you and we see you. We hope you are well because we know times are tough.

Let's keep making music and heal the world!

Yours truliest TAWNIA & TROELS

Thanks for the sale! By "something new every day" do you mean that the items will be on sale for just one day, then different items will be on sale the next day, or that you will be adding a new item to the sale every day?

(Edit..oops a bit late) )I'm surprised no one has reacted to this yet..So I'll start the ball rolling..(I don't usually ask this question, but) what would you guys recommend ( to curb my GAS)..Majestica, Lacrimosa, or Century Ostinato..I don't particularly need more libraries, but, we all like a good deal. Additionally, for someone who has action & emotional strings, is Ostinato Strings II a better option? I imagine it will go on sale as well, though the fact that these sales will change every day (don't know if they'll keep the previous day's sale prices) can induce some rush buying..

Ohhh! I missed that! I LOVE Nucleus' Oboe - I wonder if I should get this one as well.
Heck it's only $8 why not :)
Actually, reading reviews in the forum seems like it is not that good and won't add anything on top of Nucleus (again - I REALLY like their Oboe). I'll maybe wait for a sale on their Claire products instead.

For $8 it’s great, but I don’t know how it measures up against Nucleus. Claire is excellent as well, for really expressive lyrical wind passages. And not on sale yet, but around the corner, are Century Woodwinds - for what that’s worth. First up will be the ostinatos. Can hardly wait to finally hear their tone.

As much as I love Nucleus, their solo Oboe is probably the thing I like best about it and the thing I use the most. I thought getting this library would expand my possibilities in my Oboe solos but it doesn't seem like it will.

What do you mean by this?

The Century Woodwinds library will be released in 2020, but the first taste we will get are alledgedly going to be the ostinatos - weirdly enough. So not the regular library. And I am curious whether the Century winds will sound as gorgeous as the brass. But first we will get the 2.0 update of Century Strings.

I understand you did not get it, as it was badly formulated and off topic ;)

Century Strings 2.0 is just weeks away. This is a monumental release for us and in many ways an homage to the feedback we received here on the forum. It is really something special!
This is GREAT news Troels. It already is my main strings library. Next to Century Brass and Aaron Venture’s Infinite Woodwinds, it is in my top 3 most used orchestral libraries.
