Windows only VSTs in Logic?

I impulsively bought Genesis Pro Synth and then realised that its Windows-only VST (in 2020?)
Is there a way to run this inside logic, like with Komplete Kontrol or some Blue Cat plugin?

If the answer is NO, then someone who is on windows and is interested PM me and I'll send you the (unused) serial key. Its super cheap anyway.

There have been attempts to do Windows wrappers that will run on OS X: Crossover, which is aimed at gamers is the big one, which I think was based on WINE. There was Wacvst and stuff like that that directly packaged VSTs rather than making you run the thing in a DAW host on Windows. You can get these things to run but the latency can be iffy and Wacvst was murder to install even when it was an active project.

The easiest way is to recondition an old Mac as a Windows box and just run MIDI and audio over a network using Vienna Ensemble. The VEP bit isn't cheap though. Mac-PC MIDI over the network is the tricky bit without it though you could always use IAC and a dedicated MIDI interface. It is possible to network into a virtual machine on the Mac, but the latency is iffy there.

You may find it easier to give the licence away...

I agree vepro is the easiest way. In the past I have used wine and jack audio and it works pretty good for some plugins. But it’s fiddly to setup so while it works it’s not worth The hassle usually. I can step you through the process of trying that if you are interested but it’s not a simple process.

I have VEP 6 but I don’t have a windows machine, can it still be done?
To be frank, I got plenty of great synths. I wanted to check this synth as it seemed nice to recommend to students because of the price. Its not worth the effort.
 
I've never tried to run VePro on say a VMWare stack...but... That starts to get further away from the benefit. So no..that won't help you.

Yea I'd just get rid of it.

I have one Windows synth plugin, Harmor, that I'm still bummed has never been properly ported to OSX, even though promised years ago. But... I also happen to have a spare PC laying around with VePro on it...and that is one reason I might use it...for Harmor or a couple other windows only things...but in the end, I rarely do, because even that is not worth the hassle.

The wine approach is also doable. I did that for a long time to run Jamstix before...and it did work...but it took a lot of effort to get it figured out, I even had to contribute a bit of help on GitHub to support it. If I didn't have a PC with VePro on it for Harmor, I'd probably still be using that trick from time to time, but at the end of the day, as you said..there are a lot of great synths out there..its probably not worth the hassle
