Cinematic Strings - Incredible Company!

Hi everyone, Mike here; this is my first "real" post besides a welcome. I want to say I'm loving this forum and you guys are just a super valuable resource for newbies like me!

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I decided to get the Cinematic Studio Series Libraries (got them all at the BF discount!) because of all of your recommendations in other posts, and also mostly because I fell in love with the sound! Alex's demos are some of the finest I've heard!

I'm posting because after buying the libraries, I got this message from John at Cinematic Strings:

Hi Mike,

John here from CS Info and Marketing. Thank you very much for your purchases today of our libraries. I noticed that you were unable to take advantage of the small extra savings available for the Studio Series libraries through the "bundle or 'save on' " option. This would have brought the price of CSB down to $279, solo strings down to $199 and piano would have been $34.50. Therefore if you could confirm that the refund should go to your credit card ending in XXXX. I will authorise FastSpring to issue a partial refund of US$62.

Thanks again for your purchase(s)!

Kind regards,
John :)

Anyway, these kinds of shenanigans are what make you fall in love with a company!

So - publicly - THANKS CINEMATIC STRINGS!!!

Mike

Yea, a great company. Superhelpful support, dedication to make the best product possible, even with the "old" CS2 they offer 30% off of any Studio product with no time limits!!! Kudos.

Indeed. I own all the cinematic studio series and upon request they recently offered me a good discount the other way around, on CS2 with no time restraint. That kind of customer satisfaction focus is both nice but ultimately good for business as well, rather than trying to cream out some extra $$ from each purchase.

If they spent less time refunding people and more time on their woodwi ... haha, just joking. Yes, I've had a fantastic experience with them too. Extremely helpful too (if you ask them a question about their product, they'll give you a 5 paragraph response which will answer your question, and more)

So awesome to hear all your great experiences! Thanks for sharing everyone!

You know who else has terrific customer service? LiquidSoniics. I just picked up Seventh Heaven and sent a question to their site. Within a short time I got a response from Matt, the owner/developer!

Maybe we should start a thread, or turn this one, into a list of “Awesome Developers.”

Then we’ll have the companies vying to be on our list!

So who else, besides CinematicStrings, and LiquidSonics, belongs?

CSS and definitely Fluffy Audio for me..

TBH the whole "Buy,buy,buy.." of this website and some developers is starting to depress me a bit..

Exceptional developer, products, and customer service... same grade for their loyalty/rewards program which allows discounts 365 days per year - sometimes even 366 days, lol.

Just chiming in to say I had the same experience with Cinematic Studio. Alex gave me a retroactive discount on CS2, renewed a download when it expired and answered my tech questions. CS2, CSS and CSSS are 3 of my top 4 favorite strings.

Also have nothing but good things to report about Spitfire customer service (SSS is the 4th library!) Luke O has answered tons of my questions.

I feel you. I’m in buy mode due to BF and needing to get some expenses for the business before the end of the year. But actually making music and talking creatively is what I’d like too!
