Does iZotope ever run sales on Ozone? Like black Friday, etc.
If so, I may wait until then.
JRR Shop is my preferred place to get Izotope stuff. Because they offer an in-cart discount, which is basically a "group buy" price. E..g. I got MPS2.1 for $126, when it was $149 in my Izotope a/c.Does iZotope ever run sales on Ozone? Like black Friday, etc.

I think they have been that company to the plug-in world for a while now (and they know it). They make awesome tools, but their upgrade pricings are never really that appealing when you have spent over $2K on their products alreadyThis whole $149 "intro offer" upgrade scheme for a few new features on an annual basis is wearing thin. Most people can upgrade their DAW for less than that. I'm feeling like iZotope is the Avid of the plug-in world. Sticking with 8 Advanced.
Great to have you as a customer, thank you!Pricey but need it. My first order ever at Time+Space!
Hey Rob, we had confirmation today that the bug was fixed by yesterday afternoon Boston time so I'm assuming you're all sorted now?Hey thanks for the update.
I bought the Advanced 9 upgrade from Standard 8. I've meant to upgrade to Advanced just to get the modules as individual plugins so I did get what I wanted. I was never really interested in the Vintage modules but I actually like Spectral Shaper in Neutron so I was excited to have it included in Ozone. Unfortunately, it seems to be more basic in Ozone 9. The Low End Focus, and Master Rebalance are very subtle, from what I've noticed so far. I'd have stayed with 8 Standard if I'd have demoed 9 first and I'd definitely advise anyone who's interested to demo before buying. $149 isn't a lot in the scheme of things but you could buy some really useful stuff for that instead of just a couple of subtle enhancements that you may or may not need.If you have 8 there’s nothing all that useful for you in 9 unless you do mastering side-work... it has a few things useful for surgical work, so if you’re just mastering your own tracks for libraries etc you’re fine with 8....(Plus the new EQ UI is kind of annoying.)
Thanks for letting us know this. For those of us on 8 Advanced, it seems the UI is the biggest change thenI bought the Advanced 9 upgrade from Standard 8. YepI think I'll stick with 8 Advanced and wait for v12 then upgrade (v8-v11).
There are two new modules but they're mainly focused on surgical-ish mastering. Fixing level balances in stereo mixes. (Limited functionality so far though, not very useful in orchestral music...)Thanks for letting us know this. For those of us on 8 Advanced, it seems the UI is the biggest change then
I actually see about the same CPU use with both... definitely interesting though you see a difference... Are you on Mac or PC? And what gen is your processor?Ozone 9 has better CPU performance than 8. Which is good because O8 is an Elephant. Its the only plugin that makes my DAW hiccup every now and then (when I start playback). Neutron3 which I have is fairly efficient, except for the new Sculptor module which is a CPU hog.
That said, its still not worth me getting O9.
I actually don't have O9, but I watched a video review (& its in Izotopes sales pitch) on it and the guy said that it was performing better, (Youtube, "In The Mix" channel here).I actually see about the same CPU use with both... definitely interesting though you see a difference...
