Sonokinetic Woodwind Ensemble installation, a couple of questions.

“Making a mess & calling it Art is where it’s at!”
Hi- I bought the Sonokinetic Woodwind Ensemble in December during Sonokinetics great Holiday sale.
Due to having no damn time and issues with Sonokinetics install manager I haven't downloaded and installed this yet.
I am going to direct download via links on Sonokinetics servers
I see 16 bit links,24 bit links and extended links,I assume both the 24 and extended files will offer better fidelity than the 16 bit files.
I asked Sonokinetic tech support twice on the different install options and haven't received any kind of answer.
I'm leaning towards installing either the 24 bit or the extended data via the server.
What's the difference between these?
Are there any Sonokinetic Woodwind Ensemble users that can explain which of these files they installed?
Thanks

24 bit will require more disk space and processing power, but can be handy if you are going to be doing significant editing of the samples or resulting audio. For normal usage, 16 bit is totally fine. In either case, I think you also install the extended and other files; the samples are the only thing that varies.

Thanks,I understand 16 vs 24 bit.Do you know anything about the extended files?
That's what I'm not understanding, are they different than the 24 bit files?Should both be installed?
I don't see any info.

If I remember correctly, the extended files are the instruments and other stuff needed to run in Kontakt.

I like having both as sometimes my template is heavy and I need to use the 16 bit ones so I don't overwhelm my computer. But if your set up can handle it, the 24 bit are supposed to sound better.

So in your case you downloaded and installed the 16 bit,24 bit and the extended files?
Thanks this is most helpful ;)

Yes, but I have them on a spinning drive rather than an SSD. As I slowly move to SSDs, I may have to rethink it. :)

Join the club,I keep waiting for the price drop that will make me cave(hopefully BF or the Holiday's)
I would need either 3 x 2tb or 2 x 4tb,they are still too expensive for my level of poverty, lol
Does anyone here know why companies don't manufacture 3tb ssd's? I always see 1tb, 2tb, and 4tb ssd's but never 3tb ssd's.

I think dzilizzi is right. You install everything plus the samples you want. The Sonokinetic downloader is not particularly helpful with this as you have to manually tick each archive box, but the result works.

It may be how they fit fit the circuits on the board. I have 3 1TB drives that I put my main orchestral stuff on. But I could use at leas 2 more. And? I'm a hobbyist. I don't really need the speed. Just the not crashing.
