Cinebrass Bug

Hey

i purchased Cinebrass this year and keep having the problem that some patches have stucked notes. So even if there are no midi notes it keeps playing. This seems to happen mostly with the true legato patches. It really makes it impossible to work for me. Anybody had this issue before?

So when i talked to Cinesamples they replied tellin me to batch resave and reinstall the newest version,, which i did . This did nnot fix the problem. They offered me a coupon but since i need a brass library there is no need for a coupon. I offered them a screen sharing session to fix my problem but they dont respond anymore. I feel like they either hav to fix my problem or return my money.
Really disappointed by their customer service.

Let me know if anybody has some suggestions.
All the best

Nik

Did you try the suggested method of downloading the latest version and batch resaving?

that's why i didn't use Cinebrass anymore. I've moved on with Cinematic Studio Brass even though Cinebrass has a few nice patches.

Oh so you had the same problem? I really wonder if this is legal. Not refunding for a library that does not work....

Man I love CSB but with me, using Logic, the library is terrible for hanging notes. A simple stop/start fixes the problem but it's still a huge pain in the ass.

I haven't had too many problems with Cinebrass sticking on notes, though it does happen. My problems with it are more all the small issues. Tuning problems, funky background noise on samples, wonky legato transitions, etc.

Probably the worst thing I've found so far is in the 6 horn patch, on the legato/long articulation... at the lowest dynamics you can CLEARLY hear what sounds like a click track bleeding through the microphones, and on several notes there's also a sniffle at the end of the sample where it loops.

* click click click click snorf *

Lovely. I'll never be using that bad boy for chorale passages...

Its just so annoying with these hanging notes. I just cant understand how they dont do a refund if their prooduct does not what it promises....

Yup, Ive had the same problem with stuck notes and it's very annoying! I've contacted support several times done the updates and batch re-saves etc.. but the problem has not subsided. I do wish they would seriously address this issue. I love the library but it's a pain to have to deal with this.

Strange.....I'm on FL studio and I don't have any problem with CSB. It's my best brass purchase. Very satisfied with it.

Don't get me wrong - I love it and will always use it. But yeah in Logic it's just like CSS. As soon as projects reach a certain size it's stuck note city. A little while back Alex shot me a message on here saying they believed they had figured out what was causing the issue with at least CSS and offered to send it to me, but then he just kind of disappeared into the ether and I haven't heard anything since.

It's not usually the end of the world. It's more an annoyance than anything else.

I haven't had any problems with CineBrass hanging notes. I am using VEP with Cubase 9.5.

Hanging notes on Cinebrass when I was on Cubase8 and still doing it on Cubase10. It's the only Kontakt library I have that does this regularly

Hi Nik!

Have you tried with another DAW or another version of Kontakt?
Hey, no actually i kinda dont want to change my setup since everything except cinebrass works great at the moment....I kinda hope they will give me a refund, i really dont see how it is legal to sell a broken product. And since so many responded today that they got the same issues i really think they should either fix the problem or give the money back. I mean in Austria u have the right to return a product if its broken, for the first two yerars....

Yeah, I agree that if product is not working, you should get a refund. But with sample libraries it's not that simple and it's a bit unfair in my opinion. Because sample library developers have made it a different kind of business. You don't pay for the product or an instrument, you pay for the license to use their recordings. It is a bit of a stretch but that's how it works at the moment. Some developers offer refunds and allow resales but most of them don't unfortunately.

I see what you re saying, but they could just remove my license and i would not be able to use it again. Its like returning a product isnt it?

Actually no. Because you pay the money for a license of the audio files and they can't be sure that the customer deletes the files. You can't use it anymore in Kontakt, but remember, they are not selling Kontakt instruments. I also think they have to pay Native Instruments for every license when talking about Kontakt Player libraries.
