Looking for Gaming Headset

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes headsets that is both wireless 2.4hz and open back? Corsair is the closest I have come to finding this, but they don't have open back.

Edit: This is for PC gaming so it needs to have a microphone built in.

Not wireless, but I noticed Superlux have an obscure range of headsets based on their monitoring headphones. Their stuff is generally great sound quality at low price, worth a look.

For gaming I use a cheap dynamic mic on an anglepoise-type stand and never have any problems with echo from the monitors!

Thanks buddy. My problem is that I game sitting on my bed on my TV with either a Razer Turret or a controller. So I don't have a desk option. I'm hoping to find a complete wireless solution with open back so I can hear outside. Headsets for gaming today are typically so noise cancelling that I can't hear shit that's going on in the background.

That's actually a very interesting setup that you have. And no one complains about noise in the mic? I hear so much noise from people with bad headsets.

Get whatever wireless phones you want + a modmic wireless. Best of both worlds if you want to go full wireless.

I like it, but im assuming it will require a separate usb device for the mic? I have done zero research on this

Correct. The modmic wireless comes with it's own Bluetooth aptX dongle. If you get wireless headphones, they usually come with their own receiver so you would end up with two seperate devices.
Shouldn't be a problem if you get a USB hub and never think of those dongles again once plugged in.

One benefit would be that you could always put that mic onto whatever headphones you plan on buying in the future.

Wait a minute…. I just realized that the mic on my old Turtle Beech headset is removable, do headset's typically have a jack for a mic? I'm looking for my old ATH50s to see, but I can't find them. If that is the case, I could just use that mic.

Not really, to be honest! I use mumble to chat with my friends and you can tweak the activation threshold etc pretty precisely.

On a side note I just picked up a Steam Controller (£15 used!). If you're couch gaming on a PC it's fantastic, highly recommend.

How is that controller for FPS's? I already have a Razer Turret for those games, and although it is the most overprice product on the market, I absolutely slay with it.

Most headsets don't have a jack, some do though. I don't know if any of them use proprietary stuff or if you can just use any mic with them, sorry.

I only bought it to see if it helps with some ergonomic issues that I have with regular controllers, and I absolutely hate it. For someone who never used an xbox or playstation controller it probably wouldn't be an issue, but if you are used to "the standard", it's awkward and unintuitive. The ABXY button placement is weird and their size too small, I miss having 2 analog sticks and some of the triggers have a too high pressure threshold imho. Your mileage may very, these things are very much up to taste and habbit.
The configuration software is quite powerful, but also not super intuitive. You can use it together with other controllers, if you're mainly looking for the customizability.
If you want to use a gamepad to control a mouse cursor, I highly recommend "controller companion", available on steam. I think it's way better for that than even the steam controller in "trackpad mode".

Yeah but I don't know how people are able play FSP's with those sticks. I've tried and it was a train wreck. I do like using the sticks on all non-FPS games.
