What's new

Spitfire Chamber Strings 50% off?

I program keyboards for musicals - SCS is going to be my go-to. Absolutely fantastic. Spiccato and pizz sound amazing in the house. No buyers remorse, can’t recommend enough. And that half trill! Beautiful library

It was hard to resist, but one thing is for sure: there will be many more temptations to come this year from good old Spitfire, I wonder what’s next.

What’s really nice from Spitfire is that they still consider the old Sable products in the checkout.
With my good old Sable Ensemble and SCS I bought on Wishlist event, I managed to update to Pro for 125 EUR.

Which - thanks to the mixes - buy me more time before I switch computer...

Yes, I passed the “test”.

48 hours of tension and searching youtube videos etc., a very generous offer, but I didn’t buy it.
Why...? 30 hours ago I did fall in Love with an other string Library...Strezow Afflatus.
I had owned and used SSS for 3 years , which Im very happy about except from the lack of vibrato control.
Im used to Hollywood strings, where you can control vibrato by cc1 from 1-127.

Maybe I will regret it when this forum will be flooded with great SCS demoes :).

If you fell in love with SSS only 30 hours ago, could you possibly have missed that SSS actually has some level of vibrato control in many of it's patches? No gradual crossfade, but a cross-switch (just like SCS, if I'm not mistaken).

Thank you Vik.
I've made some changes to my post, it was not clear enough...
SSS performance legato, the change between non vibrato and vibrato is very noticeable. But it is possible I missed the point of SSS vibrato. I will search for that.
Thank you for telling Vik.

You can tell us which brand. This is not a commercial thread.

Played through the patches yesterday and I'm really happy I've purchased it. Great quality samples with so many articulations... I like how it sounds different from CSS and it will complement it very well.

Yeah, very happy too. Also blends very well with OACE and Solo Strings.

Alright, it is Strezow Afflatus. The minimalist and d’amour articulation.... I just love that sound.
Ah, I can understand. Too expensive for me though. That's why this CSC-deal was so great for me. As a hobbyist, I would never want to pay 600+ euro's for a library. Maybe Strezow does 50% off some day? Not that I have anything to yearn for anymore in the sting department...

I found him on Friday night. Sure I'm not the only one, so it'll probably come down to the centimeter.

It would be great to have SCS but honestly I was just really excited to have tracked him down. Surprisingly fun!
