I've been disappointed in Vocalise 2 compared to Vocalise 1, which I like quite a lot. I haven't been able to articulate why.Just add Vocalise 2 dammit

Okay, Scoring Guitars 2 is out now. So far, nothing to buy since I got that in the last sale. Waiting to see if NOVO goes on sale for less than the upgrade price.
$299 from EssentialsHow much is the upgrade price ?
this is interesting. I get Scoring Guitars 2, not Vocalise 2.Just add Vocalise 2 dammit

I'm hoping they put DM-307, Novo & Forzo on sale. This would make for a nice Sound Designing bundle, but 50% off will due.
I'm jumping the gun, but anyone familiar with both DM-307 & Konkrete from Soniccouture care to give a brief comparison? Is there much overlap?
I've been wanting these 3 for a while. Only price has held me off from Novo & Forzo. Though DM-307 seems to provide a lot of sounds I've desired all in one plugin, it seems to lack some versatility I've become accustomed to with other drum plugins. Mapping, layering & routing options don't seem to be what this plugin is about, similar to Konkrete.

DM-307 is a much larger collection of electronic drums, acoustic drums, and processed drums all together, laid out in kits they designed, or as instruments across the keyboard (all the snares or all the hats, etc). It does have a lot in it, and much of it sounds good and very produced. But I have always had trouble loading the nki’s. Although I’ve tried to fix this many times it will still sometimes load with no skin- meaning all the raw sliders and buttons come up on a grey backgound with no labeling. Basically unusable. I can reload it and sometimes get it to load properly, but more than once I’ve given up and gone to something else. I’ve tried all the tricks including a patch resave and updating kontakt (from 5.51 through 5.81).
Great timing post and I would likely have jumped on DM-307 if offered in this promo.
I'm on Win10 Pro /Reaper and wonder if you are on iOS / Logic, Cubase, etc., which may be impacting these issues ??
Indeed so, but it's just not up to the competition imo, including from themselves. I just flicked through again now - all the whoosbangs are drenched in reverb, even with the reverb off. Somehow the whole library has always disappointed me, I flick through for a while and inevitably return to DM 307, or Rise and Hit, where there are better options. Damage famously turned things up to 11, this dials them back down to a 5, and even there I'd like a different less reverby 5. I think the whole sound design was off on this one.
DM 307 is absolute magic by contrast. I keep coming back to it. Somehow its never got as popular and cliched as Damage has become, I love its aggressive analogue tone.
I agree regarding Konkrete. Thogh there are kicks & snares in every kit, my limited use has been with the unique percussion sounds.Have both and Konkrete is more electronic buzzes and clicks (kind of in the fashion of music concrete of the early synth days its named after). Cool sounds, but listen to the video walkthrough to get an idea of what I’m talking about. They are all non-traditional electronic drum sounds that are unique.

I don’t think the DAW is the issue since all my other thousands (yes, I’ve gotten that far) of instruments load fine. *******
Otherwise the DM-307 has a lot of good stuff if you don’t mind your drums in Kontakt. There is so much more I can do with Addictive drums 2, that I’m now trying to stick to that whenever possible.
Ahh, well my questions are now irrelevant. Thanks! This is only a Gravity/Gravity pack flash sale. The remaining products will be
1) Vocalise 2
2) Scoring Guitars 1
3) Vocalise 1
4) Natural Forces
Yeah, at least from what I see in vids & manual, DM-307 doesn't provide some features I've become accustomed to with AD2. With DM-307 not being part of the sale, I'll direct my hopes to XLN Audio producing more electronic & hybrid kits....Otherwise the DM-307 has a lot of good stuff if you don’t mind your drums in Kontakt. But for big electronic drum sounds, pop drum sounds, or urban/hybrid drums the DM-307 does sound great. At half price (it may be in this sale) it is worth it (I got it half price at a sale a while back, so perhaps it will go lower).
