Omnisphere 2.6 Announced at NAMM

Omni has been such an amazing choice waaay back near Intro !!
Great announcement for v2.6 ….. but always fantasizing over StylusRMX makeover …. (yep, never satisfied)

John Lehmkuhl (Pluginguru.com) is at NAMM and will surely be hooking up with Eric P and the Spectrasonics crew.
John's extensive work at Korg seems to dovetail well with his Omni /Stylus skills.
Expecting he will do his normal YT Livestream on Saturday, Feb 2 (usually noon PST). Undoubtedly will go through all notable Omni V2.6 features.
Looking forward.

I'm not sure everyone realizes (I just learned myself) that Omnisphere is led by the former head of sound design at Roland, all through 80s+. He was lead on D-50 and many others. Awesome.
Yes, and so many Roland synths in the new presets:
  • Roland Juno-106
  • Roland D-50/PG-1000
  • Roland JP-8000
  • Roland JP-8080
  • Roland Gaia
  • Roland JD-Xi
  • Roland SH-201
And all of this is free! Thank you Spectrasonics! With all these free upgrades, it makes your head spin about what Omnisphere 3 will be.

One nerd point is that you can drag any MIDI file into any of the many envelopes in Omnisphere, creating really complex stuff. So now you will be able to drag out the MIDI from the arp and then pull it right back into an envelope. I imagine this feature alone will keep John Lehmkuhl up late at night and the Unfinished's job may never be done.

Yeah, the Korg MS-20i is in! I have one here... didn't expect them to support a device that's out of production for so long. But here it is!

Right?? I also still have the Roland D-50 and Juno 106 synths from the 80s here as weill!

Spectrasonics are the undisputed champions of virtual instruments. I hope they are working on an update to Stylus RMX or something else in the percussion/ drums dept. Looking forward to see what they have come up with for the arpeggiator. Loved the way they implemented drag and drop midi in Stylus.

There's the reissue of a few years back -the smaller sized one.
The MS-20i (with the "i") is a controller, not a complete synth. It was made to control the legacy software Korg MS-20. Not manufactured any more.
The Korg MS-20 mini is an analog synth but as far as I know the knobs doesn't send CC data - so it's not possible to control software.
