Agreed!Just did a quick listen of the violin and cello. I think they sound great! But they sound like electric violin and cello.
I have purchased but didn’t have a chance to test it yet.
I will let you know once I have some experience with it.
I have purchased Archè only. I could not use it yet because authorization is not working for me.Many thanks!! Can you tell us if this touché se works with spitfire vst? It would be awesome for expression!
I saw that Arche is a vst. But you need a touché to play it. Aslo touché runs through lié(which host the vst), so if you have not the touché i'm afraid you can't play it....I have purchased Archè only. I could not use it yet because authorization is not working for me.
I have sent a message to technical support a couple of days ago but it seems those guys are not very focused on this business.
Their website is not clear about it or I missed the information. However, the manual shows how to assign the controls to any midi cc via midi learn which makes me believe it is not necessary to have Touché.I saw that Arche is a vst. The manual clearly indicates you can map any midi controller to Arche´. Also the video shows controlling the bowing with the mod wheel (CC1). SO it seems it should be possible without Touche´.I saw that Arche is a vst. But you need a touché to play it. I played the combo of Arche and Touché at NAMM and it was quite impressive. Startling, really - one of those rare goosebumps moments. Will it fool a violinist? Probably not, but who cares? It will let ME create sounds that could not be created by any other electronic means. On one real-time pass even Mr. Fumblefingers like me can articulate and execute a trembling, jiggling, expressive passage that would take me an hour to explain and get recorded correctly with a real player, or take two hours of drawing controller events and keyswitches with Sample Modelling, Synful, AAS, or any other VI, whether it's PM or samples. The combo of Arche and Touche is greater than the sum of the parts. If you buy just Arche you're missing out - just think of Touche as the dongle you need to (properly) run Arche.
Of course, I won't be trying to simulate a real virtuoso playing a well known classical piece - I'll be using it to create that sort of hybrid middle-ages-meets-modern thing you might hear from Nathan Barr or on Trevor Morris's Vikings score. Tentative, exposed, trembling, expressive - even if its only two notes.
A buddy has been on board with Touche since day one and he won't stop bugging me to get one. Well, now I have a good reason: Arche.
Watch as many demo videos as you can and show me another easier / cheaper / quicker way to do what Touche + Arche can do.
I know I say this phrase a lot, but.... add to cart.
