A hopeful Cubase question...
Is it possible to have 2 Key Editor Windows in Cubase 9.5.41?
The scenario...
I record some Midi information on an Instrument/Midi track and have the key editor window showing full screen on a second screen (main screen showing Project Window). Then, I record Midi information on a different Midi/Instrument track but I want the Key Editor window on the second screen to remain open whilst recording. The reason why, is so I can look at the parts I have just previously recorded. It's just useful for me to see what I just played when writing (currently I screen shot parts and flick the screen shot on a separate screen which is less than ideal).
What happens currently is that as soon as I record on a different track, the new recording shows in the Key Editor. Obviously the Key Editor shows the previous Midi data when I hit record but as soon as I stop recording, the new track midi data shows. It does this with Re-Record mode as well.
I seem to remember there being an option to "Unlink Editors" but can longer see that. Maybe it was a figment of my imagination?
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks!
Jono
EDIT...
So now I know how to have multiple Key Editor windows, I was wondering if there is a way to hide all the windows with a Key Command or Macros? I'm thinking a button exactly like the Windows "Close Plugins Button". It would be very useful!
