What's new

Anyone on Mojave?

I've posted elsewhere, but the specific MSI Radeon RX 560 Apple recommends is working really well in my 5,1.

Is anyone running Pro Tools 10 in Mojave? I'm sure it has the same menu redrawing issues it's had for a few OS versions, but will it launch?
I’m having the “resources missing” error when trying to update to 10.14.1.
Did you update yet?
(Mac Pro nmid 2010 - SAPPHIRE Radeon PULSE RX 580)

I didn't, nordicguy. Still waiting to find out whether PT 10 will continue to work.

Did you update to High Sierra first? Apple says you need to do that. It updated the Mac firmware as part of the update (or told me to hold down the power button to put it in the right mode).

If not, please read Apple's instructions for updating carefully. Nothing complicated, but I had to update to High Sierra with my old Nvidia card before installing the RX 560.

Strange to see all the "all clear" and happy faces here. Glad it's working for everybody else but my experience today has been the exact opposite. I was hoping to find similar experiences to mine.

Today I've been getting crashes left and right. Whole sections of my song disappear, and I hit control-Z and nothing happens. Then the delete of half of the song isn't even in the work history! It's as if logic deletes it, and then I say "whoa, what happened, what'd you do to my song?!", and Logic says "what do you mean?.... this song you speak of never existed...", waves its hand like a Jedi.

Very frustrating. I've also gotten a ton of illegal region errors today. Just today and just on this project I started yesterday. I don't know went wrong. I've been sending crash reports to Apple. Maybe if I start with a new project and a clean slate, everything will be OK.

FYI, I'm running Logic Pro 10.4.2 on Mojave. Also using NI Komplete and EWHO.

Thanks for the reply!
Had no problem updating to Mojave (10.14).
The problem came while trying to uodate to 10.14.1.
Tried updating from System Update first and also downloaded the installer with no success yet.

Any significant real-world improvements that would give updating to Mojave from Sierra a reason? (Productivity, speed etc.)

To me its a matter of being able to stay updated, OS/softwares, while still using my old machine (that I modified).
Atm, High Sierra is still my main OS.
