What's new

Seems like snake oil... but damn it's effective - Sonible EQ+ on 79% discount

After some longer confusion with installations and "do I qualify....." I finally made it to get frei:raum and EQ+2 for reasonable prize and I am very, very happy with it :).

Both fit together perfectly. While on my old hardware frei:raum only can be used on master and 2-3 tracks (which is enough for the tracks I really need it) and had to be manually adjusted (no presets/save function) EQ+2 is absolutely great on all tracks where an EQ is needed. As said before, when I tried the EQ+ it just failed on the challenge I had and refused on buying cause TB 4 did what I need but the EQ+2 is just great on the obvious needs of a track with the presets/profiles it offers, if needed finer/harder cuts could be done after it. Only thing I would like as a none professional would be a simple "drum track" profile added to the kick, snare, high-mid-low tom etc. professional single-drum-track profiles included :). But as it definitely IS prof. soft........

Quick heads up following my earlier post. Frei:raum is also back on discount at 80% off - now just over £40 at Plugin Boutique. There was such a big fuss about this offer last time it was on that I doubt that anybody missed out - but just in case you did, the deal can be found HERE

If I have smart:eq+, are the other features in Frei:raum worth having?

DavidY: I can only speak (shortly, since about two days :) ) for the frei:raum + smart:eq+2 combination and they in my opinion perfectly integrate and dont overlap. Frei:raum is for real sound "designing" mixing/mastering on channel and master (with cpu load "design" tools usually use :) ) while smart:eq+ 2 for me is a great general channal EQ for quick instrument based equalizing, so for me the use is totally different as are the capabilities. But I am only a hobby musician, so thats no professional view on professional tools.

The Plugin Boutique sale appears to be over, and I got a reminder in my inbox that today is the end of the Sonible frei:raum $49 sale at AudioDeluxe.

I have no affiliation with the product, but I thought I'd pass the info along in case anyone is interested.

If you want to learn more about Sonible frei:raum, I've linked to a Sound on Sound review below:

No preset saving in Freiraum? Regardless of it's main function --AI analysis and correction-- it's also killer at getting some interesting sounds out of samples. So I want to be able to save presets. Anybody know how?

Oh my... frei:raum is on deep discount once more so I'm bumping this thread.

This time it's 82% off at just €49 over at VST Buzz. It's one of those plugins that I turn to again and again to just give that extra something to my masters (and occasionally individual tracks). I love it.

Here's the original video I did for APD when it was on sale over there:
