With the offered DIVISI in the SS _ Crossgrade, can you produce acceptable Chamber Strings results ? I do not have a dedicated Chamber Strings library, and the DIVISI would almost justify Crossgrade cost, and then there's Percussion !!
Haven't written anything for Chamber Orchestra/Chamber Strings (at least not as a stand alone, only used SCS in other projects) so I can't say for sure it's suitable to write "good"/"great" (depending on taste of course) chamber music with it. But as the overall size of all sections can be sized down to 30 players (8,7,6,5,4) it can be considered chamber sized (afaik).
So it can be used for that I think, but it really depends on the section size you want (SCS e.g. has 16 players; 4,3,3,3,3, so more intimate I'd say).
Though the overall design (also from the name) is obviously Symphony with more flexibility due to the divisi (and cool auto-divisi).
Would be nice to hear if someone tried a chamber piece with that library/could convert another chamber piece to this library
The overall quality of the strings I really like. They have a nice sound and play (for me) a really nice alternative/companion to SCS, CSS and BOI.
Only bought the String upgrade though on 50%, but in my eyes it was a worthwhile thing to do for me (can't state something on brass etc. though)
