Sound Dust Sale....

Not complaining, but it’s been over 6 months since Pender has had a sale, and in that time he’s realeased a number of instruments I’m interested in but happen to be plagued by a lack of finances and few projects that will pay for my excentric tastes. ;)

So is he just trying to torture simple composers like myself? Releasing great instruments but giving us no reason to tell our spouses and loved ones “I have to get it now! It’s on sale!”. How can he be so insensittive?

Ok, I’ll take a chill pill and wait for a reply from the almighty mellow one (at least Pender sounds that way in his videos). Regardless, thanks for your great work P-man!

They had 30% off Sound Dust over at Time & Space very recently.

Edit: and I did use the "it's on sale I have to get it now!" excuse :)

Darn it, my news years cleaning of mailing list subscriptions must have screwed me. Yet I still get mailings from Sound Dust. How did I miss this? Thanks for the heads up. :)

I think it was more of a Time & Space offer than a Sound Dust one and I don't recall Pendle emailing about it. Hope you get another sale soon!

Thanks! Own and love the 1884 Dulcitone.

I’m looking at the rubber bass 2.

Odd the prices look 40% off but when you add it to your cart it’s still full price.
Oh, the pounds to dollars confused me, there is no sale. ;)

Well, I have the following:

Cloud Bass
Cloud Cello
Cloud Viola (1 and 2)

These three are superb for string-like textures and movement. That bass sounds like a leviathan coming to get you!

I've also got:

Infundibulum
Pendleonium

They're great for weirdness and bounciness.

Rubber Bass 2 (BOING!)

Ghost Dulcitone - lovely sounding dulcitone with added ghostiness that gives you a lot of nice textures and plonks and pings.

Plastic Ghost Piano - I simply adore this. I layer one of the patches with The Giant from NI for a piano that's got a dark eeriness to it but with a little cutting attack that makes you hear the strike.

I got Flutter Dust Module in the T&S sale which I've not used yet but had a 10 minute play with a massive grin on my face.

In short, you could shove a random selection into your basket and not be disappointed.

Cool presentation and intriguing selection of sources ! :inlove:
Already headed to Sound Dust sale and add some goodies.

I had not purchased anything from Sound Dust but had played most of the demos on the web site. When I heard about the sale, I wrote (a few minutes ago today) and admitted I hadn't signed up for the newsletters... No worries. Pendle hooked me right up.

I've started with Cloud Cello, and was surprised to also receive some patches for Omnisphere as part of the deal. (The bonus feature is listed on the web site...)

So, I'm happy. Got the discount. Got some of the very cool SD sounds that were on my list, and some patches for O2.

Pendle's stuff is great and his upcoming Oddular looks like it will be a blast. Seems to be based on the old EMS/Putney VCS3, so that should be a whole lot of super mangled fun. It's on my list for sure...

Everything Pendle makes is wonderful,I have most of his products.
Also check out his sound sets for Omni and Diva.
Friction(a sound set for Diva)is superb in a filthy way!
His sound sets for Omni are great as well Lost and Found (a collaboration with Matt aka The Unfinished) is amazing as is Untopia.

Dulcitone 1884 is great! Pendle is having a 40% off sale currently, you just need to enter the coupon code from todays newsletter.

I second that previous comment that you could put anything in your cart and not go wrong. Pendle is making some of the finest libraries in the game and I can't wait to check out Oddular.

This thread made me revisit the Dustbundle I bought I year ago at Spitfire (containing the Dulcitones, Ghost Piano, Hammer+ and Autoharp). All VERY good sounding VST's! I instantly wrote a short progression with Ghost P, Hammer+ and the Dulcitone 1900: ah, such rich tones). Shame on me I had almost forgot about them (that's one of the most unfortunate side-effects of GAS: disregard of what you already have). To punish myself I will buy some more Sounddust goodies in this sale!
Thinking about the Infundibulum and Cloud Viola & Cello. Just curious: do the Viola & Cello add up, or does having the one makes the other redundant?

Just bought the ghost dulcitone . I have almost every Kontakt instrument pendle has released starting with the dulcitone in 2007 (I would have thought it was further back than that) I find with the sound dust instruments they are worth having around and trying when one is looking for a sound but not sure what the sound is precisely, it just has to be interesting. I just used the cloudbass on a track I posted in the composition subforum a few days ago and loved what it added when doubled with the Modwheel Lowdown bass. Modwheel are another developer producing interesting instruments that seem to add something different with high quality musicality
