Playing the Hell out the SWAM Violin

Excellent!
As a violinist/violist myself, I find the SWAM violin more convincing than their viola or cello.
Maybe the lesser inertia in string and wood make it easier to imitate.

Aren't some of those ultra-fast arpeggios nigh impossible to play on the actual instrument? Other than that, quite Paganini-like. :)

The fingering is incredibly fast but (as you can see in the SWAM interface) the finger positions are neighbouring. A violin teacher at the place I work says it's playable.

Sorry: The slow passages have a wonderful 'woody' sound...superb. But the fastest passages...no way. Is it physically possible? Not my concern: As a classical composer, my goal is to fit the musical 'impulse' with the best possible sound (all things being equal, given variables like time/space/money/imagination).

To my mind (and to my admittedly limited musical vision), a short synth lead/pluck would be preferable. Perhaps even a nice, tight harpsichord:

For example, take the soprano Inva Mula in the 'Fifth Element':

Is it physically possible? Perhaps. Is it the best use of the human voice (outside of humorous, Sci-Fi sensibilities)?

But that's just my opinion. With art, there's no ultimate proof of concept.

Thanks for sharing!

Actually pretty easy for a Violin. Just scalar / tertiary runs and arpeggios.

This is a music video for the SWAM Violin demo I did a while back.
It's an improvised Cadenza for an imaginary concerto.

I think the sample modeling / audio modeling stuff is stunningly realistic and has me wanting to buy a breath controller. I feel to play it live you really need that 3rd CC one the volume.

I'm also am stuck on buying the strings. I want the Violin and Cello but at that point I might as well get the bundle. I didn't want to spend the money right now and audio modeling won't pro-rate the bundle after. I dont know how much longer I can hold out...

The arpeggios on the high notes didn't sound realistic to me: too pure, but for the rest it was amazing. I was completely ready to hear the entire movement.
