Hey guys,
Currently I'm using folder stacks to organise groups of instruments (winds, synths, percussion e.t.c.) and using sends for reverb before routing to the final mix.
Aiming to achieve the 'big trailer sound' as a project but I guess these questions could apply to anything really ...
Is it best practise to apply Compression and EQ to individual instruments / or groups of instruments / or the whole mix?
Also, Kontakt is full of close, mid and stage micing. Should I be using 'close' if I want to deal with reverb as a send (or am I confusing 2 different things here?)
Is it the case that most orchestral VST instruments are already panned so I should leave this well alone?
Thanks for any advice!
