BALKAN Ethnic Orchestra Announcement Video

Who's "our"? Who's "we"?
The most basic information about which company is it, where to buy, where is some further information - all are completely absent from this short video.

It says "Strezov Sampling" at the very beginning of the video, though the font contrast is a bit hard to read. It's also posted on Strezov's channel.

I just looked at the instrument list and this collection seems full of possibilities. How much of the Rhodope content included in this one is overlap from the full Rhodope library?

By the looks of the amount of content this will be far too expensive for me. I must prepare a suitable period of guilt before purchase.

Yea, my thoughts exactly after seeing the instrument list. On the other hand, I like the list and I'm curious about the sound and playability. Maybe some good sale price will convince me to buy it. I know buying things on sales is not the best way to support developers but when one does compose music of various styles, sometimes the only way I can justify getting these rather niche libs is at sale price since I have a good amount of these libraries I thought I'd use some day and I haven't touched them since purchase.

Still cannot wait for the walkthrough video. :)

Seems similar in concept to Eduardo Tarilonte libraries where you get a bunch of instruments, percussion, vocals and soundscapes. Hope it's also more or less the same size and price.

Sorry - just to clear any confusion (I've already edited this on our website blog) - the Vocal quartet has completely unique recordings of 4 wonderful singers; it has the same content in the sense you'll get the same syllables - sustains & staccatos - and ah and eh true poloyphonic legato as well.

It it recorded in the same room as Rhodope so this means that you can place this on top of Rhodope 2 for more detailed sound (as an analogy I'd say you'll have strings + first chairs). But none of the Rhodope content was 'revamped' in Balkan.

We'll start doing short clips demonstrating one or more instruments soon. Stay tuned!

Best,
G.
