Hey hey!

I'm new here so I figured a cool way to introduce myself would be to share some of my work with everyone. I know a few of you guys here already but I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.

A lot of my recent work has been on Tonehammer's recent release - Requiem. I've been writing scrips that add functionality and make it easier for end users. Tonehammer are going to be implementing these into their 1.1 update next month. So far I've written scripts that build phrases, that let you melodically play their chants and that let you build up chant rhythms. They can be grabbed from the Kontakt section of my site or see them in action on Youtube.

I've also written a polyphonic legato multiscript called Multigato. The intent was to automate the process of controlling multiple legato instruments when playing chords. It's not a traditional 'divisi' method, but more suited to simpler chord playing.

I noticed it was mentioned on the forums here (thanks to lee!), but I've recently created a small effects library, 'shhh', which uses Kontakt script to simulate lots of orchestra ambience - page turning, breathing, chair fidgeting, clothes movement, instrument clicking, etc. These can also be grabbed from my site.

Finally, I've also been trying to push Kontakt script as far as I can recently, and these are the (completely pointless, but hopefully cool) results. You can click the pictures for videos.

I think that's about it really. I'll post more of a generic hello in the introduction section once I think up something interesting to say about myself!

Wow Blake, great that you found us. Welcome! Looking forward to scripts from your obviously advanced programming chops.

Heh regarding Rick Dangerous and Pong - consider the possibilities of developing music for the game in the same sampler that it was created on! Smile

Welcome Blake, as already mentioned, this is a great forum which surely will benefit
from another game for Kontakt Smile ( how about something like Super Mario Brothers Smile )

I was a little bit shocked that I saw you on Northernsounds but couldnt find you here, in the very centre of the all-cool-kontakt-scripting-gurus-favourite-hangaround-place, but now you´ve made it to the right place. Smile

Welcome!

Thanks for everyone's replies and comments and the warm welcome. Glad people are liking my stuff! I'll be sure to post the Rick Dangerous script once it's done. I look forward to hanging out with everyone here.

Welcome Blake - good to have more people on board!

Nice to see that you are pushing the boundaries of KSP. I would love to see you develop your multi-gato into a more divisi based script.

Regards,

Justin

I've got a new version of Multigato in the works which has a more divisi approach to how the voices are managed. Hoping to have that finished over the next couple weeks or so.

With the LASS update out tomorrow, It'll be interesting to play with that to get a feel for exactly how it works. One thing I definitely don't want to do is step on Andrew's Kontakt-feet and look like I'm ripping them off or copying them.

With LASS now having the built in divisi functionality, I'm wanting to concentrate on something that's aimed more at generic libraries.

I've also gotten a little further on Rick Dangerous Kontakt! Video here

Hi blake...
Awesome scripts for requiem!
i have only checked out the staccto scripts

it works well but at times the syllable was repeated twice.. and some of the syllables have a late attack... is there anything that can be done about that?. will let you know which words in a post sometime soon!
i love the gui !! rt !

really appreciate your work !!

Bump!

Blake Robinson, it´s really awsome that you have joined vi-control and showed us what an incredibly valuable guru of kontakt scripting you are!
