I don't really get what you are after. I hear mostly basic orchestral instruments, it's more about composition and the arrangement. There is some epic percussion and maybe some synths to beef up the low end, but other than that, any orchestral library can do this.

I have Adventure Strings, Adventure Brass and Soaring Strings. All of them are really great libraries. When they have all the basic woodwinds done, I am most definitely gonna buy all of them.

Normally most of the updates are only scripting updates using the same sample pool. If there is a big update in the samples(new recordings, denoising, etc), you can download the new samples and keep the old instrument with the old samples. I have 3 different versions of CineBrass as an example...

I think at some point developers had to pay extra if they added a lot of new sample material to a Kontakt Player instrument, that's why some libraries are divided in the core and pro even if it would be easier to have them in one library. But I might be wrong with this.

Because it's a Kontakt Player library, I really doubt there will be more microphones added.

You don't need it. You already have everything covered. Only reason for it would be building a template around the sound of Air. If you want that different flavour then go for it. But it will not add anything to you existing template.

Yeah. That's what I was doing after hearing the legatos. Cuivre sounds pretty brassy. Shorts could use one louder dynamic layer as well. It is a weird decision to have the solo brass more forte than sections.

I use a lot of HWW still. The sound is amazing. Berlin Woodwinds has some nice options for runs as well. I wish they would have something like Orchestral Strings Runs for woodwinds as well.

I would say Afflatus and LASS are the best ones for that.

I haven't read the whole topic, but can someone tell me if there is a huge difference in the mics available in standard version vs the mics in full version? Is it worth the extra money?

I think that ultimately the best way to do a choir that sings what ever you want, is to use HC wordbuilder with some real singers on top. Even your own singing mixed in there can make a huge difference in realism. But of course you have to know how to stay in tune and do it multiple times.

Yeah. There's a lot of people that would like to sell some of their libraries but it's not possible. Only a few developers allow resales. EW is really against it and I know a few guys who own some of their libraries more than once, thanks to bundles.

VSL Flute would be high on my list as well. Somehow the VSL's recording techniques work so well with woodwinds. They are a bit pricey but definitely worth it.

That is true, it's more closer to 35 if you are not using solo instruments. I think that the room build up is one of the biggest problems with libraries that are recorded with a huge ambiance. You have the same information so many times, when in real life you would only get it once.
