I just checked my Spitfire account and the last update was.... Version: 1.4.0b66b 24Apr 2020 Probably updated around the time they released the separate violin and cello part libraries. I think the new reworked version was released in 2018

Not sure what version it is now but check your Spitfire download app and click the solo strings - the current version number should be there.

Just a little update regarding the first synth I was going to purchase a few months back. After much going back and forth along with hours of watching YouTube videos, I opted to buy the Polybrute yesterday. It fitted my film composing needs and the countless possibilities it can muster up...

It's nice of Daniel to respond here but Steinberg as a company really don't need to monitor this forum for user problems. Same goes for any developer. That's why they have a dedicated support on their website. Never expect to get a problem solved by a company here. Always use their support.

That's what I'm looking for and I like the attraction of physical hardware which I can tweak and play with. I'm tired of the virtual thing at the moment. Probably leaping down a rabbit hole I'll never get out of :) I have loads of software synths to do the rest.

Fair enough comment about the wetness but the tempo issues in some of the articulations are still there. I'm not imagining that.

I do understand it was recorded in Air and did watch the walkthroughs. It's just unworkable and I've tried to make it work but that's my opinion and experience.

Love to know that too. One of a few libraries from Spitfire that left me confused and lies dormant on my SSD. Doesn't sound natural at all and inconsistent with tempo. It also has too much reverb.

Anyone have an Arturia Polybrute here? Thoughts? Any good? I'm swithering between this one and the Prophet 6 Cheers

I've put a support ticket into Native Instruments as there are many instruments missing from Native Access and Komplete Kontrol. Tried everything to get them back but nothing showing up in KK. Fingers crossed it's just a small glitch that can be easily fixed.

Agree, it's not fixed. The timing of notes is way off. I updated yesterday, gave it a try and it was worse than before. Tried a few bits then gave up! Broken, just like my faith in Spitfire Audio fixing its libraries.

I gave up on this library a long time ago. Seen the update today and thought I'd give it a try and it would hopefully resurrect this one but sadly not. It's worse than before. Timing and sample tempo are not locking to DAW. Tried everything. Sounds terrible! Yet again, another poor update...

Agree, the Spitfire Player has a long long way to go. Not even on a par with Orchestral Tools Sine. Kontakt is probably the best for this type of library. Symphonic Motions is the perfect example of this.

I recently updated from 10.5 to 11. It's been very stable on my PC with Windows 10. Great update with some brilliant new features. Go for it!

Your not the only one. I've never connected with CSS but I guess it's more likely due to the style I personally write. Loved some of the demos I heard which influenced me to buy, but in reality, it didn't work out for me.

I had a similar problem with my MK2 88. It was the NI host integration agent and NI hardware service that stopped on the PC. Try going into task manager on PC, click on services and check the 2 NI host and hardware setting. It'll either say running or stopped, click to start. Posted a photo...

Thinking the same too. The fader thing is fixed but suspecting it might be the Cc I previously assigned it to. Clicks and pops & pops and click. Geez!

The close mic fader triggered by the overlay knob has been fixed.

Noire is my one of my favourite pianos. The Particles engine is a lovely addition and you can create lots of different sounds and rhythms. OA Stratus does sound great too. Maybe you could wait until Black Friday for discount. Noire will also be 50% off on BF.

I was thinking the same too. BBCSO woodwinds are great! So highly unlikely I will go for Studio Woodwinds. More articulations in SSW I think? but only one mic option in Core. I prefer the sound of Maida Vale Studios too than Air Studio 1.
