Originally written for piano, using very simple harmony, I decided to compose a cinematic soundtrack, with a grand string ensemble using 8Dio Adagio amongst other libraries.
The orchestra (VST, of course) consists of:
* 2 Violin-ensembles
* 2 Viola-ensembles
* 2 Cello-ensembles
* 1 Bass-ensemble
* 1 Flute & Oboe.
* 1 Piano.
I thought about making a brass-section but I decided not to, as I haven't quite getting used to writing for horns and I can't make them sound anywhere realistic enough.
The strings could be better, but unfortunately I have to work with the 8dio string library, although I'm not entirely satisfied with the transitions of the legato patches. Other libraries are way too expensive.
I did my best though, to make it sound as less midi as possible, also by either playing the instruments myself on the keyboard, or humanizing it manually.
Let me know if this humanization works for you.
