I like the improvemens in the workflow, like adding dynamics to multiple staves at once (a feature the was added to Sibelius not long ago) and you can now double click on different items in order to edit them.
Can't wait to check out the midi recording which is a big feature indeed.

A ton of new features and workflow improvements for a free update.

For me the biggest new feature is support for up to four MIDI ports, finally allowing connection to a reasonable number of VE Pro instances. Breaking the 16 channels per instance barrier makes Dorico much more useful for full orchestral scores.

Also added is live MIDI recording.

The four ports sold me on upgrading. Definitely a HUGE feature as I use VePro extensively! Sibelius is becoming a thing of the past (unless I have to sync with Cubase - hoping for that feature soon!)

After spending about a week with Dorico, I'm much more impressed than I ever thought I could be. This thing makes the lastest Finale (and Sibelius 7.0) seem like toys. The power is just incredible. And I love being able to make similar KS's identical to those in Cubase. Don't think I'll ever open Finale or Sibelius again. FWIW I bought Finale when it came out in 1989...

Yeah! I'm loving Dorico. As a composer I'm still waiting for the ability to sync with Cubase/ProTools so that Dorico doesn't have to handle video (though it's cool having it for small projects!) and the zillions of other tracks needed for extra instruments, audio and professional mixes.

In a way, it allowed for the original Sibelius creators to one-up their previous product and make it even more usable to the masses! :)

I'm still holding back until Dorico allows graphic velocity control on selected notes: vital for realistic piano mockups.

Does anyone know if Dorico Elements 2.2. has the new film scoring functions that the Full Pro version of Dorico now has? I checked the comparison list on the site but it doesn't say.
