Thanks much!

I happend to buy this just yesterday. My idea was that the violin would be part of a virtual string quartett.
This did not work at all, because it has only one molto espressivo dynamic layer. So I probably won't get anything out of this. It's molto espressivo only and it is also a very wet library, even if you just use one close mic and disable reverb completely, the sound is already pretty wet. Too wet for me. I can see this working under certain circumstances though and the content is nice, at least in part.

I also recently acquired this. It sounds nice, and for an under $60 solo library it's fine. I don't mind the wetness or the dynamics so much, but it has a truly titanic number of keyswitches, and they are laid out in a way that doesn't quite map to how the articulations are laid out on the GUI. So I find it difficult to play. If I do much more with solo violin, I'll probably end up splurging and getting either Bohemian Violin or the Joshua Bell Violin. But, as I said, it sounds nice.

ETA: I found the "fast legato" setting particularly nice -- if you want to do quick runs, that works pretty well.

Thank you folks for the input. A little thinking to do about this one.
